UPMINSTER RUGBY U’11s SET FOR SOUTH AFRICA

Upminster RFC U’11s are without doubt one of the most successful team of their age group in Essex.  This season they have built on their previous years successes by winning several festivals and are looking forward to their fifth consecutive win of the Essex Cup.

The Upminster U’11s will be going on tour to South Africa, the youngest team in Essex to do so.

The Tour starts on 5 th August2008 for 17 days they will play against five South African Schools in Cape Town, Pretoria and Johannesburg including a team from the Townships of Johannesburg.  The Upminster team will experience the rich cultural differences of South Africa and this could be an opportunity for them to act as ambassadors for London Borough of Havering.

This is a fantastic experience for the children taking part, they will be playing rugby against high profile teams in South Africa, this will help them to progress their own sporting talent, which will not only benefit them and the Upminster RFC but possibly their County and even Country teams in the future.

This is also a fantastic opportunity for local business to support such a successful team, this would benefit the business as they are positively supporting children who play sport at a high standard  and are also meeting government guidelines of playing team sports, keeping fit and following a healthy lifestyle.

The team need to raise money to pay for the boys to go on Tour and are looking for sponsorship or donations, i f you could help with sponsorship and would like more information please contact:
