UPMINSTER & DISTRICT PROBUS CLUB

The Club has about 80 members and meets on the last Wednesday of every month at ‘The Cranleigh’ in Station Lane, Hornchurch. We meet up at around 11.30 to socialise and sit down at 12 noon for about 30 minutes business. Lunch is at 12.30, followed by a talk by a guest speaker. Our speakers this year cover a wide range of subjects from ‘Growing Old Disgracefully’ to ‘AntiquesValuations’ and ‘Developments at Roomes’. Meetings end at about 3.00 pm.

Throughout the year we have a number of coach outings to various places of interest. For example, two of our excursions will be a cruise on theThames at Marlow and an exploration of Hidden London and the Regents Canal.

We have also arranged two holidays, one to Wales and the other to Harrogate. Membership is open to all retired and semi-retired men, who have had some measure of responsibility in any field.
