OKLAHOMA! COMES TO QUEENS

Havering Music Makers are returning to the Queen's Theatre in Hornchurch on 9th, 10th and 11th July with one of the most famous musicals of all time – a production of Rodgers & Hammerstein's Oklahoma!  

Set in the Indian territory of the American West at the turn of the century - against a background of conflict between farmers and cattlemen – it's the story of Laurey and the two rivals for her affections: Curly, a cowboy, and Jud, the hired farmhand.

Featuring such well known songs and foot-tapping tunes as Oh, What A Beautiful Mornin, The Surrey with the Fringe on Top, I Cain't Say No, People Will Say We're In Love and of course, one of the most rousing finales in musical theatre – Oklahoma! this outstanding show is guaranteed to give actors and audience alike a wonderful time!

So come and join Curly, Laurie, Aunt Eller, Ado Annie, Will Parker, Ali Hakim and all the other fantastic characters for a right good singalong a hoedown… you jist cain't say no!

Havering Music Makers have built up a reputation for producing shows of excellent quality and have been regular guests at the Queen's Theatre for over 30 years. Tickets are going well so far and Chairman Nick Ford said, “It's great to be putting on one of the all time classic musicals, and all the cast are having a ball in rehearsals. Although it's early days, it already looks like being one of our best shows”

Tickets are £13.00 for adults, £11.00 for concessions and £6.50 for under-14s.  The performances are on 9th, 10th and 11th July at 7.30pm, with a matinee at 2.30pm on the Saturday afternoon.
