EMPLOYMENT FIGURES DIP
IN HAVERING

Figures released by the Mayor of London show a dip in the number of people employed in Havering over the last year.

The statistics show that 74,200 people were employed in 2009 but fell by 1,300 (1.8 per cent) in 2010 to 72,900.

The biggest increase in employment was Barking & Dagenham at 9.2 per cent (from 44,400 to 48,500) while Bromley saw the biggest reduction at 3.6 per cent (from 106,o900 to 103,100).

The report, which features on the Havering Residents' Association website, shows an average increase in employment across Outer London of 0.5 per cent.
