FREECYCLE AT PLANET HAVERING

We are pleased to announce Havering Freecycle will be participating at the borough's major green fair - Planet Havering which this year will be held at The Havering Show on the 24th and 25th of August at Harrow Lodge, Hornchurch.

The aim of Planet Havering is to raise awareness of sustainable waste management issues as well as other environmental topics such as wildlife and biodiversity, healthy living and energy efficiency. Last year the event attracted thousands of visitors over the two days so its a great opportunity to promote our group and involve local people with the benefits of reusing!

Last year's Freecycle event at Planet Havering was a roaring success with many items being passed on throughout the entire day and many new members found. This year, with Planet Havering merging with The Havering Show, we are hoping to make it even better!

Havering Freecycle will be holding a Bring and Take stall for anyone to bring along their unwanted items and for people who want to take an item - All free of course!  Items must be of reasonable size and weight to be able to be carried away from the event, so no beds or wardrobes please!  We also cannot accept electrical items as we have no means of having them PAT tested.

If anyone has an item they wish to donate to the stall but cannot attend on the day, please email a group moderator at Havering_freecycle-owner@yahoogroups.com and we will happily pick them up from you.

As we did last year, any items not collected from the event will be first offered on the group and then given to charity.
