Ernie Oakley has stepped down as ‘Bulletin' Area Organiser for Cranham having dedicated over 10 years to organising and overseeing Bulletin deliveries to over 5,000 homes in the area.

Ernie, of Front Lane , was presented with a carriage clock at a recent Area Controller meeting in appreciation of his dedication and service over many years. Our picture shows Ernie surrounded by fellow Area Controllers following the presentation.

Cllr Barrett said: “There is no doubt that the popularity of the Bulletin owes a great deal of thanks to the many people who willingly give up their time to organise and deliver the newsletter. Ernie epitomises that spirit and we are extremely grateful to him and all those who help make the Bulletin a success.”

Ernie's role will be taken up by Pam Ruck and Danny Moore.
