This Bank Holiday Monday, 30th August, Cranham Social Hall has teamed up with the Plough pub for a day packed full of entertainment, truly "something for everyone". There's a rolling programme of events from 11am until 11pm, all at The Plough, Front Lane , Cranham Village (just across the road from the last stop on the 248 bus route).
The day's entertainment schedule includes Morris Dancing and
Martial Arts. For children there's Punch and Judy, games, fancy dress and
face painting (with nail painting for their mums!). Throughout the day
there'll be craft stalls, raffles (prizes kindly donated by local
shopkeepers) and a Tombola. Sizzling food will be on sale from the
Barbecue, plus home-made cakes, party food for the kids, and refreshments
including tea and coffee. Later in the day, the Oglethorpe Players will
enact a Victorian melodrama, and there's live entertainment and a Disco.
Some people say there's no community spirit these days - let's prove them
wrong once again in Cranham! Call Val on 01708 222074 for more information.
