GET ON THEIR BIKES!

Thanks to a successful bid for funding by local councillors, the Upminster and Cranham Safer Neighbourhood Police Teams have new state of the art bikes. This means they can patrol the wards more effectively and respond to incidents quickly.  All police officers and PCSO's have been trained and have their safety equipment so they are both safe and visible.

Police Sgt Blackburn of Upminster Police said: “The bikes are a great asset and I would like to thank our local councillors for their efforts in securing this funding. This additional equipment will mean our patrols will benefit from increased visibility and will have a positive impact in reducing local crime”.

Area Committee Chairman, Cllr Linda Van Den Hende, said: “This funding will provide the community with an improved police service and a greater degree of visibility”.
